@Bklee, after the FW updated is completed. Unplug the hub and then replug it back to computer to reflect the latest FW version on the unit.

Can it work in clamshell mode?
Yes, it does as long as a power charger is plugged into the HyperDrive hub for pass through charging a host computer.
