I bought a USB hub from Hyper by Sanho, and it doesn’t function. In my particular case, it drops the drive connection on all and any drives, which has resulted in a number of data losses. It also runs extremely hot, and I have concerns it will start a fire (which it appears it has in some cases with other users).
I contacted Hyper, and after some very slow responses, they provided a few solutions, but none of these have worked. They have since stopped trying to resolve my issue completely, which remains.
It seems that, whilst the products steal their styling from Apple, and the CEO seems to be an expert at fund raising through crowd funding, the products are sadly lacking, as is their customer service, which is frankly appalling.
I wished I had read more reviews before buying, as it would have saved me a lot of trouble dealing with Sanho. This is why I am making this comment now to warn others away from trouble.
As of now, I just have an expensive paperweight (which actually isn’t that nice looking for a paperweight). I resolved my connectivity issues with a $3 dongle. I wish I had known before, as I would have saved myself $126 + shipping.
I hope others don’t get caught in a support nightmare with this company.
