So I like many others have a broken HyperJuice 2 battery
With the AC adapter plugged in, the screen turns on, it says 0% and Idle
With the AC adapter not plugged in, the screen will not come on
OF COURSE this company refuses to fix the product for me, so I'm going to fix it myself
FOR ALL THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE BROKEN HYPERJUICE BATTERIES
LETS HELP EACH OTHER!
DON'T THROW YOURS AWAY IF IT IS BROKEN
I took mine apart -- there are five screws total, one on each corner, and then another fifth screw that is underneath the sticker in the middle of the case.
I can see that there are 12 LG 18650 batteries -- I google'd these batteries and they can be bought in bulk for less than one dollar each!
So I figure there's about ~20 bucks USD or so of actual components inside this thing -- yet they're selling it for $300 or more -- what an epic scam
I emailed support and I asked them for repair documentation, a controller board schematic and a battery board schematic and they ignored me
SO -- if they want to play it like that...
Let's try to help each other -- I'm going to document how the batteries are wired, and then I'm going to disconnect each one and test them individually
At first I thought there was something wrong with the controller board, but given how garbage and cheap these batteries are, I'm thinking the problem is with the batteries themselves
Also FYI my controller board says "MBP2-100 V2" on it
And here are some specs on the batteries:
