Does the HyperDrive support the new SanDisk Extreme III & IV cards?

Yes, the HyperDrive is able to support all SanDisk branded memory cards, including those from the high speed Extreme III & IV series.


Despite the name, SanDisk Extreme III/IV CF (CompactFlash) cards are actually either CF Type I (for capacities 2GB & below) or Type II (for capacities above 2GB) cards, Type II cards being slightly thicker physically (in order to hold extra flash memory) than Type I cards. The "III" & "IV" in SanDisk Extreme III/IV are SanDisk's own internal branding, which follows SanDisk's own Ultra II series and has nothing to do with the CF type specifications. There is currently no such thing as a CF Type III or Type IV card. Extreme III/IV series also include other memory card formats like Secure Digital and Memory Stick.
