1.) Prepare a HDMI monitor or TV and a Windows computer with USB-C port to support display.
2.) Save the "AuxUpdate.exe" and FW file "HYPER_UPDATE_0X02_0X55" attached to a Windows computer and then launch the AuxUpdate application after the monitor screen is cast successfully.
3.) The next screen which is illustrated below will pop up. Select the graphic card brand in your computer.
4.) In the next screen, you will see the windows interface below. Click at the "Get Firmware Info" first, and then "Download Firmware" and select the ""HYPER_UPDATE_0X02_0X55". The progression bar will start running once the update is running.
5.) Once it is done, click at "Get Firmware Info" and it should show FW are 0x02 and 0X55
Is there any other way to update the firmware for this other than with a Windows based computer with an USBC output? Can you do it from a Macbook?
@Jeffrey Smith, if you run a BootCamp on MacBook, then you can do the FW update on a MacBook.
Thanks, but does that mean I'd have to purchase Windows?
Ok, thanks! I'll try it out.
can you help me how can I connect Hyperdrive 60w to PC and what cable can I use for it?
it had 45w host - 18w - Data - Hdmi ? which port need to connect to PC and when connect it it need to connect to power ? if you have any picture or video to help with it can you send it to me please thank.
These instructions are not very clear. Where are the instructions on how to connect the switch to the PC (which cable?) and how does the monitor come into play?
I am using a Win 11 PC with an NVIDIA GPU (connected via HDMI), however when I click on the NVIDIA option, it shows me the error "No DP (Display Port) device found"? Is there any way around this other than needing to buy a DP to HDMI cable, or did I purchase yet another terrible Hyper product with minimal lackluster support?
This update process flat out does not work. I have a Windows 10 and nvidia 1070 videacard. I also have a mac. What am I supposed to do? The nintendo switch OLED looks like garbage on the TV.
If you want to connect Hyperdrive 60w to PC, must connect usb-c to usb-c from pc into hub, and than connect hub to monitor via HDMI
update works fine for me, thanks
