Please go to System Preferences > Sound > check on the USB Audio device instead of the internal speaker. Then the audio jack on the USBC hub will be working.

for ipad? the jack just doesnt work?
Using this on my MacBook Pro, and the audio jack just doesn't work. I have changed the audio-out settings. I have unchanged them. I have rechanged them. It still doesn't put out any sound. Sound is working fine otherwise (through bluetooth and through the internal speakers.

Please check the headset is securely connected to the audio jack.
