       I can't get this to format my HyperDrive ColorSpace UDMA-2 after it downloaded onto my windows-7 screen and the home link is written in Asian.  I tried several different ways but it wont recognize my HyperDrive ColorSpace-2 as a USB device, can you give me a link to directions please?

    Hi Dan,

    Please try again, as I just updated  the HyperDrive FAT32 utility app. ( I did test the program on the Windows 7 with UDMA2 and it was running fine)

    Thanks Kelvin, once I right clicked to (Run As Administrator) It worked great.

    I'm using the Fat32 format utility to format a WD Blue 750GB drive. It runs fine and the drive shows up as a single Fat32 partition in windows. However, when I start my colorspace UDMA I get the message "HDD is Not Formatted. Do you want to Format now?". If I then try to format I get "Error Format HDD failure!" and if I go to Tools -> Hard Drive -> Info I get "Fat System Error HDD Error". I have used WD Blue 750GB drives in the same colorspace UDMA in the past so why am I having this problem now?

    @Rowan Romeyn

    Please try with another 2.5" hard disk if possible.  The issue could be either the hard disk (got bad sector inside the hard disk) or the defect SATA connector inside the UDMA unit.

    My old HDD which is now full works fine so the SATA connector should be ok. The drive also appears healthy when connected to PC as an external drive via USB, FAT32 formatted and CHKDSK finds no problems. There are 22,887,038 allocation units on the disk which are each 32,768 bytes. It's a real puzzle, every indication is it is a perfectly good drive yet the UDMA always complains that it isn't formatted and then cannot format it. Any other ideas?

    To clarify, the new 750GB WD Blue drive works absolutely fine when installed in the Hyperdrive UDMA and connected to a computer via USB but whenever the Hyperdrive is powered on will report that the drive is not formatted.
