USBHub HD

I added a 1TB SSD drive to this unit and downloaded media from a W7 computer through the USB connection.   I can see all the media on the W7 computer.  However, when I boot the HD unit up and connect to it via Wifi, I cannot see any of the files, nor can the settings interface see the HD using the browser interface.   What are the possible solutions to this ?
