What about if the computer did not recognize the iUSBport Mini Hyperdrive. The computer is operated by Windows 8.

Either the Mac or Windows computer should detect the iuSBport Mini when it is connected to the USB port on computer. There is one scenario that computer does not detect iUSBport Mini is when the micro SD card is not inserted.
Please note, there is no storage capacity inside the iUSBport Mini. User has to insert the micro SD card for the storage.
